Nutrition counseling gives you personalized support to feel confident, informed, and at ease with food. Together, we’ll create strategies that fit your life, without the pressure of weight loss, strict diets, or guilt. Whether you’re navigating a health condition, managing a busy schedule, or simply want a healthier relationship with food, I’ll help you find what works for you!

Examples of the range of topics we may cover in a session (each client’s needs are different!)

  • Support your whole self: We will evaluate all parts of your wellness: mental, emotional, physical, social, etc. Explore how your eating patterns promote wellness in different parts of your life.

  • Focus on health, not the scale: Learn how to integrate an approach that focuses on health behaviors and overall well-being rather than weight as a primary indicator of health. We'll talk about how to support your body's needs without relying on dieting, restriction, or weight-based goals.

  • Embrace food’s emotional role in your life: Practice expanding your appreciation of food as more than nutrition (social connection, emotional wellbeing, cultural traditions, and more).

  • Understand what your body needs: Build your knowledge of macronutrients, micronutrients, and how they support overall health and well-being.

  • Create simple, flexible meals that nourish you: Learn more about meal composition and build confidence in your ability to create nutrient-dense meals without rigid tracking.

  • Eat mindfully and feel empowered: Explore and practice applying the principles of intuitive eating, such as recognizing hunger and fullness cues, incorporating joyful movement, addressing emotional eating, or challenging food guilt.

  • Build confidence in the kitchen: Get recipe tips and tools to help you feel more comfortable expanding your skills in the kitchen.

When you hear “healthy eating,” do you think of rules, restrictions, or foods you shouldn’t eat? This program explores a different approach to health and nutrition. It’s about nourishing your body and feeling good about food, not following diets.

In these 6 sessions, you’ll:

  • Get personalized nutrition guidance that fits your lifestyle

  • Learn the basics of Intuitive Eating

  • Explore your relationship with food and your body in a supportive, judgment-free space

FAQs

  • I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company. In some cases, you can be reimbursed for out of network dietitian services.

  • I only work with adults (18+) based in the state of Michigan. I primarily work with people who want to:

    -prevent health issues

    -find solutions for food and nutrition challenges (such as those listed above)

    -manage chronic health conditions

    -establish a sustainable way of eating without restrictive dieting

    -improve their relationship with food or their body

    However, I am not able to work with individuals who need intensive medical supervision or who have active eating disorders. If you need help in those areas, I can recommend Registered Dietitians who can assist you.

  • My sessions are entirely virtual. Internet access is required. If you have any accessibility needs, please let me know.

    If you are not local but prefer in-person sessions, please reach out, and I can offer suggestions for finding a Registered Dietitian in your area.
