Personalized Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling offers individualized support to help you build a more balanced, peaceful, and sustainable relationship with food. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and may include everything from learning the basics of nutrition and meal planning to exploring intuitive eating, emotional wellbeing, and cooking confidence.
Together, we’ll look at how your food choices connect to your overall health—mental, physical, emotional, social—and create strategies that support your goals without focusing on weight or restriction. Whether you're navigating a health condition, dealing with food guilt, or simply trying to eat well in a busy life, nutrition counseling can help you feel more informed, empowered, and supported.
Examples of the range of topics we may cover in a session (each client’s needs are different!)
Holistic Health: We will evaluate all parts of your wellness: mental, emotional, physical,
social, etc. Explore how your eating patterns promote wellness in different parts of your
life.
Weight-neutral Care: Learn how to integrate an approach that focuses on health
behaviors and overall well-being rather than weight as a primary indicator of health. We'll talk about how to support your body's needs without relying on dieting, restriction, or weight-based goals.
Food Beyond the Plate: Practice expanding your appreciation of food as more than
nutrition (social connection, emotional wellbeing, cultural traditions, and more).
Nutrition Basics: Build your knowledge of macronutrients, micronutrients, and how they support overall health and well-being.
Building Balanced Meals: Learn more about meal composition and creating
nutrient-dense meals without rigid tracking.
Intuitive & Mindful Eating: Explore and practice applying the principles of intuitive
eating, such as recognizing hunger and fullness cues, incorporating joyful movement,
addressing emotional eating, or challenging food guilt.
Culinary Basics: Get recipe tips and tools to help you feel more comfortable expanding
your skills in the kitchen.
Community Food: Learn more about how to find local farmers, how to start a garden, or
how to cook with seasonal ingredients.
Nutrition in Daily Life & Specific Goals: Learn how to adapt healthy eating for your own life: during travel, to support workouts, to fit a busy schedule, to work with a limited budget, or to manage health conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension using a weight-neutral approach.
Individual or Group/Family Counseling
Initial Nutrition Assessment
This session is a chance to get to know you: your health history, your current relationship with food and your body, your routines, and what matters most to you. We'll talk about what’s been working, what’s difficult, and what you’re hoping to learn. This session lays the groundwork for a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, and care.

Pay-as-you-go Follow-ups
Single coaching sessions offer continued support as you explore a more flexible, sustainable relationship with food, movement, and self-care. We’ll check in on what’s coming up for you, adjust any strategies as needed, and collaborate to address challenges you encounter. We will practice cultivating a sense of curiosity, non-judgment, and flexibility with your food choices, body image, and physical activity routines so you can find what really works for you (without reinforcing an “all or nothing” mindset). This option is ideal for those seeking flexibility without a long-term commitment.
